Welcome
We have been in the healing and deliverance ministry for 30 years and have seen many people get free and go on to live healthier and prosperous lives in their ministries, businesses, everyday activities and relationships especially with our Father God.
We came to the point in ministry where we felt frustrated because we wanted to see bigger and greater breakthroughs in peoples’ lives. A few years ago we were invited to a seminar on deliverance that revolutionized our ministry and brought it to another level of authority. This conference opened our eyes spiritually to a deeper revelation of deliverance and the casting out of demons. We discovered through many, many opportunities to set the captives free that this way of deliverance was and is very effective.
We, along with our ministry team, are ministers who by the Holy Spirit, discern, identify and remove blockages and restraint that keep people from reaching their full potential in God. We achieve this primarily by casting out demons. Like many before us, we are continuing on in the work of Jesus who came to help all humanity by working miracles of healing and casting out demons. He does this by transmitting His authority to us, to every believer. Mathew 10:1, Luke 4:36, Luke 9:1-2
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.” Mark 16:17
For the three and a half years of Jesus’ earthly ministry He never stopped healing and deliverance.
Luke 13:32. And how did He do this? “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” Luke 4:18
Deliverance ministry deals with the spiritual realm and must be discerned through the Holy Spirit, not with the natural mind. “But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14
The Bible reveals over and over again two important truths: it teaches us that there are two spiritual kingdoms that are opposed to one another: the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. And it consistently demonstrates the victory of God’s Kingdom over Satan’s. The bible, especially the New Testament provides us with the only, all encompassing basis for our ministry today.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” Ephesians 6:12
Casting out Demons and Healing Often Happens at the Same Time
Matthew 4:24 “Then his fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics and paralytics; and He healed them.”
Matthew 8:16 “When the evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.”
Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him”
Mark 6:13 “…and they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.”
Luke 9:42 “…and as he was still coming, the demon threw him down, and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and delivered him back to his father.”
Luke 8:2 “ …and also some women, who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils…”
Exorcism is a something Hollywood movies have used to make us feel afraid and spooked out about it. They usually portray the Christian worker from failing to set the person free. In reality this is not the way it works. God’s authority over the demons, devil and any evil spirit is absolute. Jesus already defeated the devil and his cohorts. It is up to us to apply the victory Jesus died to give us.
So in reality, the word exorcism, taken from the Latin, simply means: to cast out an unclean spirit by prayer. Casting out a demon is the strongest method of healing because as demons leave, they also take their sickness or disease with them. We are not casting out the symptom in the person (i.e. cancer, fear, anxiety), but the very root of the problem, which is the “unclean spirit-unsaved soul” that brings the symptoms when they enter a person.
Teaching on Deliverance
What is a demon?
The Bible is unclear regarding the origin of demons. Throughout the ages of the church; Christian teachers developed and believed 3 main theories. There are no scriptures in the Bible that give us sufficient evidence to teach with certainty which, if any, of these theories is right. What we do know is that the Bible consistently shows us that demons do exist, that they are able to enter a human being and can be cast out.
You may have been taught or read about the following theories:
1. Demons are the fallen angels associated with Satan’s rebellion against God. Yet these are created spirit beings by God who never lived in an earthly body nor were they designed to. They still dwell in “heavenly places” Ephesians 6:12 but no longer in the third heaven with God. 2Corinthians 12:2-4 and seem to be associated more with spiritual warfare. We do know demons appear to be earthbound.
2. Demons are the offspring of the union between the sons of God and the daughters of men
Gen 6:1-3. The phrase “sons of God” is used in the OT almost exclusively of angels Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7. Angels do not procreate Mark 12:25, but if these were angels they did on this unique occasion cohabit with human women to produce offspring.
3. Demons are disembodied spirits of a pre-Adam race that perished under God’s judgment.
Just like the technology revolution which is constantly re-defining and upgrading better ways of doing things, we too, as Christians are re-defining our understanding of what a demon is for better more effective ministry.
Historical Confirmation
Josephus, a first-century Jewish historian said, “Demons are the spirits of wicked men who enter into living men and destroy them, unless they are so happy as to meet with speedy relief.”
Plutarch a Greek scholar in a biography of Hesiod who lived in the 8th century B.C., writes that Hesiod thought demons were “the spirits of mortals who had become separated from their earthly bodies.” Plutarch expressed similar thoughts that “the demons of departed men go up and down the earth”
Philo, a first-century Jewish author, simply wrote that “the souls of dead men are called demons.”
Jesus Himself makes reference to ghosts after His resurrection when He appears to His disciples:
Luke 24: 37-39 “They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost (a daimoon asomaton)—a disembodied demon—a spirit without a body) does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”
Dr. Nathaniel Lardner in the late 1700’s studied the early church fathers and concluded: “Many of the fathers of the first two centuries had the notion of demons, or the souls of dead men having power over living men.’
Alexander Campbell in 1841 upon studying the words of Jesus in Luke 24 concluded: “This places the matter above all doubt that a “demon” and a “ghost” are equivalent terms.”
Robert Garrison writes in A Study of Demons
“In reflection of our studies of angels, we should keep in mind: angels are never said to enter into anyone (taking on the form of a man, yes, but not taking over another person). Angels do not have affection for bodies of any sort, either as a habitation or as a vehicle.” He goes on to say that “the Bible reveals that man and angels were created, but there is no mention of the creation of demons despite their numerous appearances in biblical history. And since all of God’s creation was ‘good,’ demons must have been in another spirit or human form before becoming evil. The concept of ‘demons as being the spirits of departed evil men’ is nearly as old as the period Bishop Usher has calculated for life after the Ark. “If there is fiction, there is fact. If there is counterfeit, there is real.”
Conclusion
At Wings of Fire Ministries along with other ministries involved in deliverance-setting the captives free, have experienced even greater success at seeing people freed up once we tested and then embraced the historical concept that a demon is an unclean/unsaved soul that leaves or “disembodies” from the person at their death. For example a person who died ,their soul, that is not born again , they can
try to enter another human person, like for example if you have a grandfather that dies, and was not saved , his soul may try to enter another person and if this grandfather was a perverted man and dies his soul may want to try and enter one of his offspring or anyone he can, to be able to keep doing his sins through this people, that is why many times man or women do not get there victory over there perverted sins , until these unsaved souls are cast out.( example ,incest, peeping toms, masturbation, pornography ,Pedophiles ,adultery and so forth, we have seen many people set free after we have cast out those unsaved souls from them, and sent them into the earth until judgement day, and today they live in victory, many have started to do deliverance like we do and they are seeing great results . But always remember this is just a tool , the Lord can deliver anyway he wants to, He is not set in one way, but we have found that this was the most effective way for us.
Luke 11:24a
Outside the body “unclean spirits” resemble a shadowy figure. They have no sensory awareness. The same demon, which is programmed with an intense craving to invade and occupy physical bodies, now roams around the invisible realm and seeks out another person to dwell in. Job 2:2, 1Peter 5:8. Unclean spirits need a body they can live through so they can see, feel, hear, and live through the person. They will even enter into animals rather than stay disembodied. Luke 8:32-33.
It is hard for us to get our thinking wrapped around all this, nevertheless even though demons are without bodies they all have what we would accept as personality. Will—Mathew 12:44; Emotion—James 2:19; Intellect—Mark 1:24; Self Awareness—Mark 5:9; Ability to speak—Mathew, Mark, Luke. These are the same areas they seek to overtake and to experience through human beings.
Most important of all is that we are not here to become scholars…even they cannot agree on what demons are. We are here to get free and succeed into the purposes and plans God has for our lives. This is another key to add to our spiritual tool belt for setting the captives free. We are forever going to learn more keys and receive greater revelation from the Holy Spirit as the Body of Christ matures in handling the ministry of deliverance.
For now, we just have to accept that there are some things God has kept secret from us. Deuteronomy 29:29. Unless He shares them with us they will remain locked up until we get to Heaven. So we make a decision to proceed by faith that what Jesus did we can and will do also.
John 14:12-14 “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
There are many types of demons that are cast out in our deliverance ministry:
Leviathan—pride, rebellion, control, intimidation, disobedience, arrogance, flattery, slander, accusations, (Lucie, through discernment
this traits can also be a disembodied spirit who carries and who have some of these traits)
Jezebel—seduction, murderous jealousy to achieve goals, gains control through manipulation and flattery, without repentance, submits to no one, aborts intercession, carnal, silences the prophetic voice. Many time the Jezebel spirit is a disembodied witch.
Python—occult, divination, fortune telling, drugs, witchcraft, Masonic, yoga, martial arts and much more. Through discernment
this traits can also be a disembodied spirit who carries and who have some of these traits.
We have also cast out demons , disembodied spirits , who they carry: panic, depression, infirmity, fear, religion, fantasy, masturbation, perversion, self-pity, witchcraft, cancer, debt…well the list is endless. For this teaching we are concentrating on unclean spirits, or unsaved souls that bring these behaviours with them.

How Do Demons Enter a Person?
Demons flow where abuse flows: sexual, physical, psychological or religious. Demons flow where any sinful practice is occurring. 1Timothy 1:9-11
Works of the flesh:
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, revelling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such will not enter the Kingdom of God” Galatians 5:19-20, 1 Cor 6:9-10
Also: negative in the womb influences, emotional pressures in early childhood, emotional shocks, sinful habits, idle words and laying on of hands, telephone conversations, media, eye contact, sexual sin, sent by a witch or warlock
Occultism:
Divination, magic, astrology, horoscopes, psychic phenomena, hypnosis, tarot cards, drugs, potions, amulets, some forms of music, incantations, secret societies, Satanism, covens, yoga, martial arts, acupuncture etc. as well as a family background in the occult or false religions
Drugs and alcohol:
Drugs and alcohol removes self-control which gives easy access for demons to enter.
Proverbs 25:28 “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”
All of us at one time were involved in or experienced some of these things. But God’s abundant grace and love for us shows us mercy as we yield our hearts and become willing to be set free.
Timothy1:13-14 “Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.”
Demons Have Assignments
“Under Satan’s domination all demons and every evil thing work together to inflict on humanity every possible form of harm,
deception and torment.” Derek Prince “Wings of Fire would say it like this ,every demon, disembodied spirit work
to enter humans to harm , bring deception and torment , and bring there sickness with them, which can be cancer.
MS, and all whatever sickness they have when they died. That is one of the ways they get healed, when the
disembodied gets cast out and sent into the earth, their sickness leaves with them, then the person is healed.
3 Main Purposes
1. To torment and afflict us
2. To keep us from knowing Christ as our Saviour Mark 4:15
3. To keep us from serving God effectively “to hinder your calling , and stop it from going forward”.
Because demons are invisible we cannot see them so we recognize them by certain characteristics:
Demons:
Entice—persuade us to do evil then strong feelings of guilt come that convince us we are forever lost from God’s love and forgiveness
Harass—follow us, observe our weaknesses then create situations that will allow them to slip in. We find ourselves saying, “I don’t know what made me do it”
Torture—Unforgiveness leaves us in the hands of demons and we feel tormented until we forgive the person
Compel—or compulsions of any kind: out of control eating, drinking, smoking, talking, biting nails, cleaning, shopping, lying, stealing, T.V. Often these lead to addictions.
Enslave—primarily all sexual sins of every kind
Cause addictions—root being continual frustration and a deep emotional need constantly unfulfilled
Defile—our thoughts and imaginations with impure, lustful images or fantasies especially to oppose our communion with God. This also includes blasphemy and unclean speech.
Deceive—Demons are behind every from of spiritual deception that primarily attacks Christians and is the single most dangerous threat to Christianity. 1 Timothy 4:1 “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
Demons are always trying to conceal or distort who Jesus is hence all the different religions in the world.
They can also deceive believers into behaving like animals.
Attack physical bodies—tiredness, pain, sleepiness when reading the Bible or praying, restlessness, accident prone, hallucinations and bringing sicknesses and infirmities of every kind including those that may lead to death
(The above teaching is based on They Shall Expel Demons by Derek Prince)
All of these can bring heavy feelings of shame and disgrace as well as ruining our reputations, our relationships, our employment, our ministries and joy of living.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
Praise God, Jesus Christ came to set the captives—to set us free!
Mathew 12:28 “But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you”
Do Christians Need Deliverance?
Yes!
We have a body, soul, and spirit. Demons cannot dwell in the regenerated spirit of a born-again believer so a believer in Jesus as Lord and Saviour cannot be totally possessed. Even though the spirit-man cannot be touched, it is through the soul realm that demons may gain access. The soul realm consists of the mind, will, and emotions and that the body and soul are in a continual spiritual battle with darkness. 1Thessalonians 5:23
Some Christians are being greatly hindered in their ministries, businesses and personal relationships because they don’t believe demons exist let alone believe they can have a demon in them. Sadly this is a strong deception from the enemy to keep many believers from victorious living in Christ.
Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge
How can that be?
1. Demons were already in the person before he/she became a Christian. There are no scriptures that tell us demons automatically leave at salvation. Experience has taught us that there can be miraculous freedoms at the time of salvation while others need prayer ministry, inner healing and deliverance to get free of ongoing sinfulness, addictions and so on.
2. Demons entered into the person because of disobedience, sin, unforgiveness, or unholy lifestyle after becoming a Christian. Many people are held captive in their souls, even years after they have accepted Christ Jesus as their Savior primarily for the reasons as stated above. Luke 6:46 Protection from Satan does not depend solely on being Christians but on our obeying God’s directions. An obedient lifestyle is the condition for being protected by the blood of Jesus.
For 30 years most, if not all the ministry of deliverance we have done has been with good, solid Christians as well as those new or struggling in their faith. We believe that everyone needs to go through healing and deliverance to be set free from their past hurts and demons and ongoing unforgiveness and sinful reactions to them.
Conclusion: Whenever and in whoever we encounter demons the scriptural response is to expel them by exercising the authority Christ has given us.
Our prayer for you is:
3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and enjoy good health even as your soul prospers”
Many people will interpret this verse to mean financial prosperity, but it really means much, much more than that. The Lord revealed to us that whenever we bring deliverance to a person, we are investing in their prosperity by leading them to have a closer relationship with the Lord, which allows them to come forth and express their full God-given potential.
Let’s Get Started
2 Powerful Keys to Freedom
Key 1: Repentance
We have all yielded to the rebellious nature that gets involved in unhealthy, unholy or compulsive behaviours that have made us enemies of God. Repenting is an act of our will thus we don’t need to feel it in our emotions. We humble ourselves and confess our sins and ask Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour.
Repentance means 2 things:
Accepting personal responsibility for what you have done. You cannot hold parents, spouses, ministers or even demons for the wrong things you have done. You know you are guilty and need to admit it.
Taking your stand against personal sin in the same way God does: Hate it as God hates it. Must no longer try to minimize or excuse it. Then sin and demons will have no more power over you.
Thus as a rule, deliverance is generally best done on a person who believes Jesus is his/her Saviour and Lord, who we would now call a Christian. Believing that Jesus died to free us and forgive us of all our sins is the basis upon which we can claim a full release from every demonic attack that is directed against us or within us. 1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
We realize that there are exceptions to every rule. In the Bible some were set free by Jesus before they were saved, but most of them believed by faith in His authority or were set free on His obedience to exercise that authority and got saved immediately afterwards.
The main reason for salvation is that non-believers/non-Christians will not be able to maintain the freedom of their deliverance because they need the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit to help them stay free and live a holy life style. No one on their own has the strength to keep the demons out. Romans 8:5-13 Jesus warns us, that if a demon comes back and finds the house empty, he will return and bring others with him and things will get even worse than before. Luke 11:24-26
Key 2: Forgiveness
Mark 11:25-26 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him/her that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
(Notice in this verse it states “whenever you stand praying”. This tells us right away that this means a person of faith and not an unbeliever)
Mathew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive men when they sin against you your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
If we want God to forgive us for our sins—and we all need that—we must unconditionally forgive all those who have hurt us. Unforgiveness will totally block you from being set free. When we seek restoration for our broken lives, the power to achieve that is found in forgiveness. When we think about and dwell upon offences committed against us, we create a negative hostile atmosphere attracting all kinds of harm, demons, disorders, and even disease. Romans 8:5-8
When you forgive someone, it does not mean that the abusive situation was ok or acceptable or that you somehow deserved it. Forgiveness does not mean that you will forget what was done to you or allow it to control you again. But when you hold on to bitterness and unforgiveness in your heart for many years it leads to sickness as well as a legal doorway for demons to enter and stay there. Many Christians today are walking in unforgiveness, hatreds and resentments toward family, friends, church, work, themselves, and even against God and wonder why their lives are not working out.
Forgiveness is a state of mind that will set you free. It will bring you peace even though the other person does not ask you for forgiveness. You need to forgive to set YOURSELF free and be in good health—spiritually, physically, emotionally and even financially.
How Many Times Must We Forgive?
Jesus tells us: “Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, must I forgive him up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” Matthew 18:21-22. That’s every day, which is roughly forgiving every four minutes or so.
Forgiveness is also a decision—an act of the will. Many people say, “I cannot forgive” or “I will not forgive”; or “it takes years to forgive.” But the Bible tells us that we must do it to be free.
We hear this over and over again during ministry: “I cannot forgive” or “But you don’t know what they did to me” We are sadly aware of just what people do to people because of their own unrenewed hearts and demons in their souls. Jesus died even for those people who have sinned against you. Remember that in your pain you have probably hurt others as well. We all need forgiveness and to forgive. We have the very same authority as Jesus and are commanded by Him to use it. Mark 2:8-12
You will know that you have forgiven when you stop telling everyone about the past offense and when you can pray that the offending people will get free themselves. It may take some time to fully release them in your heart which is why Jesus tells us to forgive 70 times 7 times. But freedom begins the second we make the choice to forgive whether we can feel it or not. Until we forgive, we cannot experience true peace in our hearts.
Testimonies that demonstrate how forgiveness brings healing:
1) There was a woman in Quebec who was deaf in one ear. The Lord showed that she had unforgiveness in her heart. When brought to her attention, she became angry with me. She claimed there was absolutely no way that she had unforgiveness because she was a lady of prayer. I admit, because of how insistent she was, that I started to doubt I heard correctly from the Lord. But the next morning, she came up and told me the Lord showed her at night that she did hold unforgiveness towards one of her school teachers since she was a little girl. As she forgave her during the night, her hearing came back in that deaf ear. Praise the Lord!
2) Another women in Quebec who was about sixty-five years of age asked for prayer. While my husband Mark was praying for her, standing in the gap as her father, she told us that her father hit her with a baseball bat on her ear. As we led her to forgive her father, she began to hear in that ear. We didn’t even know she was partially deaf. It was a miracle from God.
3) Another women in Barrie, Ontario, had an abusive husband. As Mark stood in for the husband and asked for forgiveness, she became hysterical but finally decided to forgive her husband. A week later, this lady phoned us at home and said that she had had a lump on her breast for a long time, but when we prayed with her to forgive her husband, the lump dissolved. May God have the glory
4) A man from Ottawa was eighty years old at the time Mark stood in the gap for forgiveness towards his father. As he stood there, it was as though that eighty- year-old man had become a little boy again. Fear came over his entire face. He began to tell us that his father had beaten him with chains in the barn behind their house. Mark asked for forgiveness on behalf of his father, and when this man forgave, peace and joy came all over him. His wife told us later that it was like she had a new husband. Thank you Jesus
You do not need suffer any longer or wait until you are 80 years old—forgive right away. We need to trust in the wisdom of the Word of God and obey what God says about repentance and forgiveness. We need to crucify our flesh and submit to the Word of God and just do it. Then and only then will your journey to full freedom and victory be achieved—freedom at last!
